The top layer of the midsole is made of Mizuno Enerzy NXT (Nitrogen Infused) foam. This foam offers soft cushioning and good energy return. The bottom layer is made of Mizuno Enerzy NXT foam with an EVA base, which provides extra stability. The rounded design of the outsole is based on spikes with a very raised heel. This ensures a smooth landing on the midfoot and forefoot when fatigued. This is called Smooth Speed Assist, so you continue an ideal transition all the way to the finish line. The midsole also features a Wave plate, a plastic plate that is part of Wave technology. The plate is wavy and ensures a stable landing and extra bounce during push-off. The upper of the Neo Vista 2 is made of lightweight mesh that wicks moisture away from your foot, keeping you cool and dry while running. The mesh is partially made from recycled materials. Finally, the shoe features a removable sockliner made of ultra-soft material.
The X10 outsole of this model is designed to be extremely durable and therefore long-lasting.
