Click noren frames are incredibly sturdy, typically crafted from a robust T or V profile with a skate blade glued inside. Because click noren are often used on natural ice, the standard rounding is flatter, usually around 25 meters. You can read more about skate blade rounding here.
The sizing for click noren frames is indicated in centimeters, which refers to the length of the blade. For each product, we specify which shoe size the respective length is suitable for.
You'll need a binding to attach the click noren boot to the click noren blade. Due to Salomon's patent on the Pilot binding, this binding is the most commonly used. If you have Salomon click noren boots, only the Pilot binding will fit. You mount this binding to the blade using Allen or Torx screws. Pro tip: When mounting the Salomon Pilot binding, start with the front screw!
Although "click noren" is sometimes used synonymously with Salomon skates, Salomon does not actually produce skate frames. Well-known and professional Dutch skate manufacturers like Maple and Zandstra have developed special click noren blades, with Maple blades being of the highest quality. The price difference usually lies in the hardness of the steel.
If you know your shoe size, you can easily order click noren blades online. If you order the binding with them, we'll mount it for you right away. Naturally, we round and sharpen your blades so you can hit the ice immediately. Because we've acquired a large stock of Maple blades, we can offer them at very competitive prices!
