Fixed skate frames: stable and sturdy for beginners and natural ice

Fixed skates are suitable for beginner skaters and riders who primarily want to skate on natural ice. The loose frames fit under most loose skate boots that you can also find on our site. Pay close attention to the pitch; this must match the skate boot. It is the center-to-center distance between the mounting points at the bottom of the boot. All our skates are standard extra sharpened and rounded (with a 23m radius). This means you can hit the ice immediately upon receipt!

Fixed skate blade vs. klapskate

The advantage of a fixed skate frame is that it is more stable and sturdy on natural ice because you are less likely to get stuck in cracks. A klapskate is more vulnerable if you get stuck in a crack. However, a klapskate rides a bit smoother because you can complete your stroke somewhat better.
